Department/Program Overview:
The School of Nursing at North Carolina A&T
State University invites applications for a
position at the rank of Professor.
The School of Nursing offers a Baccalaureate
degree in nursing and is fully accredited by the
National League for Nursing. Students are
admitted to the School of Nursing from different
levels of achievement and academic backgrounds.
Our commitment remains constant to educating
students whose promise of an education may be
inhibited by lack of economic, social, and
educational resources. The School of Nursing
prides itself on producing qualified nurses for
the community and the world. Currently the
School of Nursing offers two paths to enter the
BSN program, the on campus program or one of
four BSN completion options for those already
working in health care: RN to BSN, LPN to BSN,
Military Medical Specialists, and Surgical
Technologist. The School of Nursing is accredited by the
National League for Nursing Accrediting
Commission and approved by the North Carolina
Board of Nursing.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching
in the classroom and clinical settings,
assisting with planning, development, and
implementation of the undergraduate programs.
In addition, scholarship within the discipline
yielding publications, service on committees,
and participation in official activities at the
school, college, and university levels.
Qualifications:
A
doctorate degree (nursing is preferred), and
possess or are eligible for a license to practice nursing in
North Carolina at the time of appointment.
