Assistant Professor,
Department of Construction Management &
Occupational Safety & Health.
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State
University is a learner-centered community that
develops and preserves intellectual capital
through interdisciplinary learning, discovery,
engagement, and operational excellence. The
doctoral research intensive and public
land-grant university enrolls over 10,500. The
school of Technology has a current enrollment of
approximately 1,000 students, and offers
undergraduate and graduate programs through four
departments: Construction Management &
Occupational Safety & Health; Electronics,
Computer, and Information Technology; Graphic
Communications Systems & Technological Studies;
and Manufacturing Systems. The school also
offers a Master of Science Degree in Industrial
Technology, with concentrations in the four
major academic areas. The programs are
accredited by the Association of Technology,
Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). Our
construction management program is also
accredited by the American Council on
Construction Education (ACCE). The School of
Technology is working on several strategic
initiatives to help propel the mission of the

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an individual with a track record
of interdisciplinary research and education;
develop and update undergraduate and graduate
courses; develop and teach one-line courses via
the internet and face-to-face courses;
participate in advisement and recruitment;
provide services to the department, school and
university; implement research grants;
participate in professional activities, and
participate in scholarly activities.
Qualifications:
Qualifications for the position include an
earned doctorate in Safety Education or a
related field and experience in teaching,
research and service to qualify for the rank of
assistant professor. The applicant must also
have on-line course development experience, a
record of scholarly publications, and work
experience outside the university setting.
